I am wondering if maybe if it is just really bad allergies, because I heard rumor of it being the worst allergy season at this time. I have not had a fever or chills, although I do have a bit of a cough which could still be allergies.

I tried to do some yard work yesterday, but the winds won out. I couldn’t handle the constant running nose with trying to plant my ground cover. So I didn’t get much done, so I just watered and went back inside. I didn’t get my walk in, so I need to do that. I hope I will be able to finish my ground cover planting today, or a least do a little depending on how I feel of course.

I had my last rough chemo Thursday (Adriamycin and Cytoxan), and returned the next day on Friday for my Neulesta injection. Yeah!!!! My nurse, Linda rejoiced with me. My next four cycles of chemo will be Taxol with my usual Friday Neulesta. They say it won’t be as bad, but when I read the side effects, there are some not so good ones, but maybe it still won’t be as bad. Everyone reacts differently, so we will see. Linda, my nurse is a breast cancer survivor and she had the same medications that I am getting, so she is a great resource for me. I always ask her how it went with her and other questions. She said her nails got dark and some fell off, but they do grow back. My nails have been bad with this round of chemo with brittleness and breaking, so they don’t stand much of a chance with the new drug I will start I guess.

Today is a car show that they have every year in Morro Bay and it will be a good excuse to get out and walk around. When we had dogs we used to take them with us and walk them around there, but they got rather nervous with the engine noises, so it made it a challenge when they got spooked. They were high energy border collie/aussie mixes that had that crazy gene in them. I think we may have taken a Wood’s Humane dog once when we were volunteering, but I can’t remember. We tried to expose those dogs to social things to prepare them to be adoptable.

I miss working at the Wood’s Humane Society, but it really isn’t something I have the energy to do right now. I used to work the dogs until we were both tired, and I am tired at the get go right now. I will return to my volunteer work when I am well which will be after everything. It is a long road and will take up much of this year. I am so blessed to have such a strong prayer covering over me. It gives me the strength to pull through just feeling the prayer cover.

There is another fun activity tonight at a friend’s house with worship and prayer and such. I hope to feel well enough to do that, but I have to wait and see. I find I have to limit my activities and too much makes me way over the top with exhaustion. So I much listen to my body signals. It isn’t subtle at all, so I can’t really miss it. Ha.

Looks to be a clear and beautiful day, so I better go out and enjoy it. The temperature looks to be mild too. Perfect!

I actually felt better last last couple of days even with a cold like symptoms.
