This week I had a wonderful visit with my twin sister and her husband! They had come to stay with me while Pete went to his convention in Las Vegas so I wouldn’t be by myself during my chemotherapy week. It was nice to have my sister be with me during my treatment. They just left this evening (Saturday), and I enjoyed their stay.<\/p>\n
On Thursday when we went to my treatment, and just before the nurse came into the room where we patients get our treatments, I dashed to the restroom first and the nurse saw my twin sister, and the nurse was surprised to see hair on ‘my’ head. It threw her off for a bit because she thought my sister was me. When I got back and introduced her to my sister, she was relieved because she couldn’t figure out how I would have had so much hair in so short a time. It was sort of funny, but then you had to be there.<\/p>\n
We took some short shopping trips during the day, which was a good mental stimulation for me to get out of the house. Today, they helped me finally plant the rest of my ground cover in the front yard; and with all of us doing it it went fast and I am happy to have it complete. We really<\/em> appreciate their help.<\/p>\n Today I am not feeling my best because of the chemo side effects, but I still very much enjoyed my family here to take care of me. This stuff will be over soon. I am so blessed to have family and friends who love me and Pete. We feel well cared for and much loved.
