I actually wrote a whole bunch of good stuff, and it is gone. Somehow I must have deleted it by accident. I don’t remember what I wrote now. Oh, well, on from here then.

I had my last chemotherapy yesterday (Thursday), and today I went in to get my last Neulesta injection. I am finally finished with that section of my treatment, except I will be getting an MRI to see if these last four cycles finally shrunk the tumors or not. I surely hope so. I have to wait for them to call me to schedule it after the insurance pre-authorizes it. I also made four different doctors appointment today for next month to go over my surgical options and any questions and such. One of the doctor appointments is actually not related to my surgery, but with my general practitioner since it seems my blood pressure has been going up. I think it might be stress, but I can’t say I have felt stressful, but maybe that is just how my body is reacting for me. Don’t you just love it? My cholesterol has been on the high side and I have been avoiding my general practitioner because I don’t want to go on the pills for cholesterol. I believe it is hereditary and my family history runs high, so even losing weight and eating a low fat diet didn’t bring it down.

Yesterday my chemotherapy appointment was in the afternoon, and since the treatment was a very long drip I didn’t get finished until after 6:20 PM. So my friend Debbie and I were the only ones left in the office with the one nurse that had to work over. I don’t know why they made my last appointment so late because all of the other visits have been in the mornings. I missed my support group which started at 6 PM; and even though I was planning to go late I knew I needed to eat something because the medication would make me feel ill. So I instructed Pete to go to his support group and to let the director of my group know that I was not able to make it at all. This is the third time I have missed in a row.

So Debbie and I went to the new Olive Garden for dinner which I hadn’t had the opportunity to visit since it had opened in San Luis Obispo. There was a long line, so we went and sat in the bar with no waiting. The problem was we waited a long time to be acknowledged, and when they finally came to see if we wanted drinks, of course we just ordered water, because I can’t drink right now anyway with the chemo. We told her we wanted to order dinner and asked for a dinner menu. I think we had waited an hour just for the menu, and then a long wait for them to come get our order. What I thought was odd was that we were served our bill before any food ever came! It was like they were rushing us to pay the bill and then leave without even eating. I was starting to feel ill because the one of the medications is rough on the stomach and I needed to eat now. So we flagged the waitress down who was eye level anyway because we were right there on the bar seats and asked for bread to eat while we wait. She got our soup right away, and it was shortly after that we did get the rest of our meal. It was a delicious meal, but I thought the service was terribly slow and we had waited an hour to be acknowledged and had to wait a long time for the menu. It didn’t give me a good impression for my first time eating there. Oh well, I did get a good meal, but the wait and service was a bit much. It is an adventure. Pete got finished with his support group and came over just as we paid the bill. We did stop at a store before we went home. It was 9:45 pm by the time we got home, so it was indeed a long day.

Today another friend Julie took me back for my injection, and we went to New Frontiers for me to pick up some things I was out of, got some food to-go and ate at my house. But before we got home, she wanted to show me her new horse, so I got to pet her new horse’s nose. She has two horses, four dogs, three cats and two goats. They are all lovable. In fact, the four dogs on my website and business cards are her sweet dogs. I enjoyed the detour very much. It made me very happy. Later today I picked up a new dog walking client, a sweet pup named Jasmine. More about her later.

Julie and I had a wonderful visit, and then she sang over me while I was resting (a wonderful hymn), a very beautiful voice I might add, and then left me to rest. It was a wonderful fellowship day for me today and yesterday too. I am so blessed with the friends I have and in this season they have stepped up to the plate to express their love to me. How did I get so blessed with such wonderful friends? They are my gift from God. Thank you, Lord for my wonderful friends!

Wow, I had blogged a couple days ago, posted it, and it disappeared.
