Update of March 27

It has been a hard week since my chemo started last Thursday.  The nausea is one thing, and then the fatigue and brain fog is the other.  I was really thinking thoughts of, “I am not sure I can do this” sort of thoughts.  But I lean on my God and remember that “I can do everything through Him who gives me strength,” Philippians 4:13.

Today, I finally felt better, my head was clear, and I felt not quite as fatigued. My stomach was better too, although it still is queasy somewhat.  I was able to take a walk with a friend and her dog without feeling like I was struggling, so I am glad to have this reprieve and feel half way decent.  I still used this day as a rest day around the house, and did some light straightening and clean up only.

Tomorrow I see my surgeon for follow up on my surgery of the port-a-cath and biopsy site.  Maybe I will be up to shopping for a scarf or wig on the way home.  My hair looks pretty sturdy at this point, so maybe it won’t happen???  Right.

I have my chemotherapy every other week, so I can have a normal life somewhat in between.  I am grateful to have a better day and thankful that God is with me in this.
