It has been so gorgeous lately. I have had three dogs I have walked this week and it has been great weather for all of us. Looks to be continued great weather in the coming days. I hope I can enjoy it even after my treatment tomorrow.
I think I did much better this last round of chemotherapy in that I didn’t need the pain medicine so much as last time. I did get pain, and when it occurred to my chest, it was sharp, but transitory, so I thought it to be more doable. The pain was more scattered all over rather than hitting one place with severe intensity. Even when the pain occurred in my head like a headache, it wasn’t as bad as the migraines I have had. The strongest thing I took was Ibuprofen, and I was very ok with that. I was more clear headed in the last few days and was able to enjoy my family visiting and we did get outside more this time than the previous visit.
I get tired with anything and everything, but I just figure it goes with the territory, and I usually try to lay down during the day to rest.
I went to the dentist yesterday to get a new crown fitted, and that pretty much exhausted me and I didn’t feel up to finishing my errands. I have to really limit my activities or it fatigues me way too much.
While my sister and brother-in-law were here, they helped me take care of a couple of my dog clients by driving me there and helping me walk them, and throw the ball. These dogs are very fun and pretty much the most energetic breed I have seen. When I get around my dog clients I get a revived energy just engaging in them and getting out doors. They are definitely my therapy.
Yesterday I was talking to one of my clients to get some last minute details for the dogs care, since I was bringing him home to care for him tomorrow through the weekend. She asked me how I was feeling, and I told her I was feeling good today and was doing better with the additional anti nausea medicine they were giving me. I told her that I do get incredibly fatigued immediately after my treatments, and then the Monday following my chemo is the worst day. (I think the drug peaks on Monday so it seems) I described it as not nausea, but a general unwell feeling that is pretty extreme, and that it is like a war going on in my body. My client laughed and responded with, “You will be the Victor!” I said to her, “I will be!” I thought that was a wonderful thing to say to me, especially because it is true.
Tomorrow will be my third chemotherapy treatment, which means I have just two more of the really brutal drugs (counting tomorrow), and then the next four chemo treatments after this will be a different drug that the nurse promised me that it will not be as bad. I am truly looking forward to that. The count down is on!!
I do have this dumb blister on the inside of my lip, and I don’t know if it is a result of the work done at the dentist, because I did notice it last evening, or if it is from the chemotherapy which sores in the mouth and throat can be a side effect of chemo, or if it is because of all the juicing I have been enjoying. Anyway, I will ask my Oncologist tomorrow when I see her.
Well, this dog, his name is Bert, is a very nice guest. He is an older dog, and he just like hanging out with me, walking, and he can nap with me after I get home from my treatment. He naps on the dog beds that used to belong to our previous dogs we had years ago. I am glad I kept the beds. Sure has come in handy for my pet service.
I hope to feel well enough tomorrow to enjoy the beautiful day. It should be a great day!

Sending prayers your way! Love you Peter and Dianne!
Thank you Carolyn, it makes so much difference with so much prayer covering. I am going through this season with peace on my heart, and believe I will be all the stronger at the end of all this. I will be a victor in all this. No doubt about it.
Love you and the family.
Hi Diane, hoped you liked the dinner, Dont worry about the little container the pineapple was in, you can keep it, or toss it out, So sorry I couldnt come with Ray, I was meeting some one at 6:30 plus we had homegroup at 7, we also prayed for you last night at homegroup, Love, Judy
I liked the dinner very much. We generally like our food spicy, but I can’t go there now, so it was perfect. The spices really burn my throat and mouth. I would have loved to see you, but I knew you have home group to go to.
Thank you for the meal and the prayer. I can feel the covering and it makes a huge difference.
Love you two, Dianne
