An Active Day

I am doing much better than on the weekend, but still had residual pains which were manageable. I haven’t had to take pain medicine for this, so I am good. I am fighting more queasiness and nausea with this one for some reason. I have lost my appeal for my favorite foods and found that I haven’t been able to finish my meals. Perhaps this will pass.

But the great thing was, I was determined to get out of the house and have lunch out with my husband and a friend at Cal Poly who is retiring shortly. So even though I felt queasy, I wanted to give it a go and I found when I started to eat, I tolerated it fine and was glad. I was especially happy to be able to get out and enjoy spending time with a friend. It was such a beautiful day today! Sometimes just getting out of the house and driving into town just makes me feel better.

I decided after lunch when I dropped them off that I would do some errands and pick up a few items I was out of, and I didn’t even get fatigued like I have in the past. So It was a good day indeed.

Then this evening Pete and I went to our support groups and we are finding that we are getting to know these people and perhaps making new friends as well. I can tell that we are helping one another in sharing our stories and thoughts and discovering how others manage this difficult season that we are all going through.

My twin sister and her husband are coming to stay for a few days, so I am happy that I feel better as we usually spend time at the bookstores and walk around town. It should be a pleasant weekend.
