Today, Wednesday, was my third radiation treatment and they took some additional pictures for some reason or other. Something to do with making sure the dose was right or effective or something. I was really tired from my low back hurting, so it was hard for me to concentrate on what they needed them for. I am just going with the flow.
I am hoping that the ache in my low back isn’t from the estrogen-suppressant medication that I have to take for five years. I Googled it online to double check the side effects of the medication my oncologist put me on, and sure enough, that is one of the side effects along with arthritis and osteoporosis. Among other side effects that I won’t mention. Yikes! And I have to take this for five years! Well, I will pray a lot, and may God keep me from having all of those mentioned.
I was going to resume yoga today, but my low back was really hurting too much. This evening, I am feeling much better although I took one pain pill. I hope that will be it. Tomorrow I am going to resume my activities as usual and hope I don’t hurt like I did today. It made me feel fatigued as well.
I have been keeping track of my niece Kati who is pregnant with twins (a boy and a girl), and she is having difficulties with her pregnancy. She is back in the hospital with only being 22 weeks along, and will stay there until the babies are born. I am praying that they stay put until they are farther along for survival. Seems so many of us are going through tough times. It would give me much joy to have twins born to the Woodworth’s. I am a twin, so it is most delightful to me. Please pray for them.
Yesterday, on Tuesday evening, four of us ladies in the support group got together to celebrate our friend’s 39th birthday. She is the young one in our group. We have become fast friends and we enjoyed the retreat together this last weekend. This really helps to be making friends with others going through all this and instead of being depressed and isolated, we are laughing together and sharing and fighting this together. This is a most incredible experience. I love these ladies.
