Today, Thursday, was my fourth radiation day. Since I have to go in everyday for several weeks, I have to really focus on my scheduling. It can get rather complicated. So far it has been going OK.
I went to see my bird client, Tango, early this morning, then came home and exercised with the lymphedema workout tape. After my shower, I went to pick up Bert to take care of him this weekend. He was so happy to see me. I could tell he was over excited because he knew his mom was going out of town, so he was probably relieved that I was there. (Who really know what goes on in the mind of a dog. Ha.)
Then I took Bert to town with me and found a nice shady place at the doctor’s office and had my radiation which goes quickly. Then with the office so close to the campus of Cal Poly, we went to visit Pete at work and walk a little around the campus. He greeted a couple of students and won their hearts. He is a good fellow.
My back pain was better today, although still not totally pain free, so I was careful today. I think it flared up from over stretching with a pillow under my back the other day, so no more of that. I guess I am in a hurry to get stronger, but it just doesn’t work that way. I have to give my body time to heal and willing it there sooner doesn’t quite work. Ha.
I got another call this evening for another pet job for this weekend, and I was happy about that. When I looked at my bills, I really wasn’t sure how I was going to pay even the minimum, but I think it is going to work out well now. I won’t be paying them off, but I will be able to pay some on each and all will be well with the world. Praise God for meeting the needs. It is indeed a challenging season.
