To The Airport

Tuesday, Cass was leaving for Phoenix for home, but not until late in the afternoon, so we still had some time to visit during the day.

I had Bert to walk, so I brought him over to meet Cass. She had seen him on Skype when he has been here when we have sat for him, but never in person. He was the polite greeter and said a gentle hello to her.

I took him for a short walk and ran into my neighbor with her dog, and the two dogs have walked together before and did their proper dog greetings. We had a nice little walk. Then I took him back to my house where we had a short little visit and then I took him home. It was sort of nice to get him out of his neighborhood for a spell anyway because the construction for the sewer with digging and trucks and such are starting on that side of Los Osos. Our turn will come later on this side.

Pete came home at 3 pm to help with the luggage to go to the airport, since the two of us are weaklings with the heavy stuff. It was nice for him to come anyway for us to say our goodbyes. We had such a wonderful visit. We enjoyed every minute. I am glad she came when I was doing better and feeling stronger. I would get tired and sore at times, but we didn’t do anything strenuous, so it was great.

We are having our summer finally, so it was perfect weather at the airport and in town. We dropped Cass off at the airport and said our farewells until next time.
