Seems like all my doctors are on vacation or out of town for something, but I still called and left messages to find out about my MRI results. I also had other questions as well, so I left a couple of messages here and there. The RN from my medical oncologist called me back and read the report back to me. She read the dimensions of the large tumor and the comparison of the previous measurements showed that the cancer tumor shrank to 1/2 of its size. That is great news. Praise God. That means when I have surgery, it will be a very good margin when it is removed. Very good news indeed.
My dizziness is much better. I haven’t been dizzy for two days now. Not sure what all that was about, but I am glad that it eased up. It is too weird feeling like that. But then all of these things I am experiencing are very weird.
My support group is tonight, but I haven’t felt really great, and when Pete came home he said I looked flushed. I didn’t really sleep very well last night, so it might be catching up with me. I show fatigue in strange ways. Peter thought I should stay home, so I called my support group leader and told her I needed to rest tonight. They are a great group. I did leave a message about my MRI results, which I think the group would enjoy hearing.
I am pet sitting Bert for a week, and we took a lovely walk today, so I think I wore both of us out. It was so pretty out, and I was listening to my audio story on my iPod, so I think we went farther than I meant to. Bert was happy, but I could see he was tired, and I should have been not so distracted with my story. Well, it was a nice day. Couldn’t be helped. Or it really could have been helped. We both enjoyed the sunshine and Bert enjoyed the sniffing about. Doggie delights.
Tomorrow I see the oncology radiologist, and although I did meet with one before, she was just filling in, and I really needed to meet the one I will be dealing with after I have my surgery. All my preoperative doctor visits are coming up, so I will be busy in the next month with appointments again. I have a friend driving me tomorrow just in case I am dizzy again. It will be nice to have a friend along anyway and someone to chat with. I enjoy the company.
So happy to hear the good news! : )
We are so pleased too. Pete and I went out to dinner tonight with a coupon to 10th Street Grill, which we haven’t been to in a long time, and decided it was a good time to celebrate. I needed good news and everyone is so good to be rejoicing with me. It is a time to rejoice.
So good to hear the results on you latest MRI. Such a fight to get to that spot. My prayers are with you regularly. My love to Pete. Still would like to visit with you guys when we can. Rich
Thank you for your prayers. It has been an interesting season albeit hard, but the compassion of people is certainly been a blessing to me. Please call us this weekend and maybe we can connect.
Great news Dianne! So happy! Thanks for keeping us posted.
Love You and Peter
It is wonderful news indeed. I went to the oncology radiologist today and he gave me some interesting options which I may blog or wait until I talk to my surgeon whom I will see next Tuesday. We love you too, and are happy and appreciate your prayers.
Mike and I are delighted to read that the tumor is now 1/2 the size. What a great answer to prayer.
Take care!
Love, Mary and Mike Boland
It is great news indeed!
