Having a guest makes me behind in writing in my journal, but will just back track the dates and write a little something for my progress this week.

I had mentioned that on Wednesday, I was starting with a new client, Bella and staying overnight. Pete also helped me with our bird client by taking the owner to the airport, and then going over there in the mornings and the evenings to take care of Tango. Tango loves Pete. I am glad they both like each other. A little joy for the day. Animals do bring a joy to the heart. The joy of the Lord is more so, but God did create animals as well, and we can get joy from His creations.

I enjoyed Bella, but I never got to take her for a good walk because we had major rain with lightening and thunder. Bella was not comfortable walking in the rain and the next morning, on Thursday, I was determined to walk the two of us regardless of the rain. But Bella gave me this look like,”what are you thinking?’, and promptly lead me back to her house and wanted back inside. At least I hope that is what that was, and not her being uncomfortable walking with a stranger. We have only just met a couple times. She ate well, and let me dry her and give her snacks, so I don’t think she was too upset.

I ended up not sleeping very well at first because I was hurting just a little, and probably just being in a different bed is always hard as well. My surgery sites still give me some pain and even though it isn’t as bad as right after surgery, it is still enough discomfort to disrupt a good rest. This too shall pass, although I would like it to be sooner than later.
