Pet Sitting

This is Wednesday, and tonight after dinner I am going to go dog sit at my new client’s house. It is only for overnight, but I think that Bella and I will get on grandly. When I went over there today to get the key and last minute details, Bella kept nudging me to pet her, so I think I am OK with her.

Last evening, I decided to increase my physical therapy and I added a pillow which gives more stretch–which is the point of the exercise. The problem was, it was too much for me at this time and I experienced incredible pain that shot up to 10 on a scale of 1-to-10 pain scale. My mother-in-law, Cass, thought I was going to pass out, and I might have I think. It was the kind of pain that causes me to have nausea too, so it pretty much took me the rest of the evening to get past that. This morning I did the exercises, but I eliminated the pillow, and so I did not repeat that experience again. We won’t go there again!

Anyway, tonight I will enjoy the company of a new dog in her home while her parents are enjoying a lovely evening away, and then tomorrow morning I have to go to San Luis Obispo to go to the Oncology Radiologist to get my markings for radiation, and then after that I will be going to San Luis Diagnostics for a CT scan related to the radiation treatments. So I will be getting up early to feed Bella, and then we will have a lovely early walk before I go.

It rained rather hard this morning, and even though I really would like more rain, I hope it won’t be raining while I walk Bella. I have done it before with other dogs, and most of them don’t mind getting wet as long as they get out to sniff and walk.

I felt better today, but after a ride and lunch out with Cass, I was sore and had to rest this afternoon. My body sure lets me know when I need to slow down!
