Yesterday, on Sunday, I had all these plans to finish doing some more light yard work, but I was so exhausted after church. After Pete and I had lunch I went to bed and slept the rest of the day. I hate losing the day, but I was pretty draggy.
Saturday I helped Pete plant some ground cover, and I was really tired then, but I wanted to do some sort of activity and I love yard work, but I have low stamina as yet. I am hoping to regain it very soon.
Today, Monday, I got a call from one of my surgeons, and the surgery date needed to be changed. It is now on August 27. I figure that it was probably because it is very difficult to schedule surgery with two surgeons on the same day who are very busy.
Today I feel tired, but a little better. I just had minor muscle pain during the night which actually still kept me awake, so I guess I should have taken some pain medicine. I am tired of taking medicine and feeling like a zombie. But it will be over soon enough.
Now I have more time to get stronger since my surgery date is a couple of weeks later, so I am going to take advantage of some of the classes that the Hearst Cancer Resource Center offers. It will be nice to meet some cancer survivors in this process and get some of their stories.
Today I need to finish my bible study home work, and finish another book for our last home group meeting for this week. At least it is stimulating reading and I enjoy it, so it will be good, but I do still want to get some exercise in which might be a walk and/or weights. Just some light weights to get back to getting strong again. It is so foggy outside, it isn’t real motivating to go walking unless I had a dog to make me walk. I don’t have any dog jobs this week, so I am really going to have to just make myself do it. Once I am out, I usually am glad I did, unless I have pain, but I think I may be past that now.
Well, on to my day. I am waiting for a phone call, so I can not go for my walk until my appointments are all rearranged, so I will go walk after that. I have a doctor’s appointment at 3 pm with a doctor not related to my cancer treatment, and the farmer’s market is today, but I won’t be able to go since it conflicts with my appointment. I wanted to get some more apricots and some peaches because the ones I got last time were wonderful. Actually I had some friends pick some up for me since I had a bad week last week. I am hoping for a better week.
