I am so blessed to have my business going well! I am still staying at Bella’s and assuming that her owners are enjoying their cruise. I am glad that the storm was farther north so it wouldn’t interfere with their first cruise. Pete and I have gone on two cruises and have really enjoyed them. I am enjoying taking care of Bella and our daily walks.
Today, Saturday, I went to visit my dear friend Jennifer in French hospital. She also lives in Los Osos. After visiting with her briefly, we went to Sierra Vista hospital to check on my friend Doug who had the motor cycle accident and is in critical condition. He was sleeping quietly, so we just prayed over him quietly.
I did see a nurse as we were walking out that I knew well. I used to work at this hospital, and she was pleased to see me. I mentioned to her about my diagnosis and what this year has brought, and she was very sweet in the update. She also mentioned that her husband that I also knew well, was not working because he is undergoing colon cancer treatment. I was sad to hear that and it seems that absolutely everyone has had cancer touch their lives in a personal way, with either family, friends, or themselves. There is just too much cancer in this life. But we fight never the less.
After the visit and Pete and I went for some lunch, we went to the San Luis Obispo Library for some audiobooks. I still have some on my iPod, but Pete was out of stories. I like going to the library, but I was very tired and when we got home we both rested. I was hoping to do some yard work which is very behind, but I just can not do it all right now. Maybe tomorrow after church we could do a little yard work. It has been very warm and beautiful weather. I was wearing shorts today. In November!
It was nice to not have to go to radiation and have a break. I still have five weeks left, and so far so good. I am glad I can work through these treatments. It isn’t like chemotherapy at all, but I do feel tired. I am not sure if it is because I am not sleeping well because of Bella, or if it is because of the radiation. Maybe both. I am glad to be able to have some sibilance of life in the midst of all this. I feel blessed that I can at least go to see my friends briefly in the hospital and to able to work. I made money this month and was able to pay some bills. Yea!!!!!
Dianne, It is amazing that you are doing so well with the radiation. You walk the dog like you are very strong and unaffected. Praise Jesus for that.
Love, anne
I understand that the radiation is cumulative, so I might feel it later, but then again I might not. After going through radiation, I might not experience it the same. I am really tired by the end of the day, or actually mid-day, but it could be because I am running a busy schedule. I am glad and very thankful that I am able to work during this time and feel pretty well.
